The members who benefit the most from AA tend to find success through going more for the program than just attending meetings. For addicts who are attending their first AA meeting and really want to get sober, we recommend following the suggestions of the AA members that have come before you.
It is important that you reach your hand out and ask for help. Part of staying sober is helping the newcomers of AA in Stonewall stay sober, so people are going to be want to help you get sober too. Stand up, introduce yourself, admit that you need help.
