What is an AA Meeting?
An AA Meeting is an assembly where alcoholics and people who struggle with addiction gather for one hour to express their experience, strength, and hope. AA Members who attend an Alcoholic’s Anonymous meeting in Fairfield, Ohio will share their experience getting sober through their personal stories with anyone looking to get sober. There is no religious, social or economic association for membership, just the aspiration to get sober, and live a productive life without alcohol.
Selecting An Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting in Fairfield, Ohio
There are a variety different AA meetings in Fairfield, Ohio. Before choosing the meeting that you are going to join, it is helpful to know the different types of AA meetings and who can attend each one.
Open Meeting of Alcoholics Anonymous – An Open Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting is open to anyone who has a desire to attend. You do not have to be an alcoholic to go to an open AA Meeting. Friends, family, and children can join these meetings.

How to Get The Most From an Alcoholics Anonymous Meeting in Fairfield, Ohio
In order to get the most out of your first AA meeting you should keep an open minded. Everyone had preconceived notions of what these meeting were and generally it is the same misconception. The best advice I ever got was to sit down, stop talking, listen to the message, and humbly ask for help. No matter the type of meeting meeting, that one thing that won’t change is the message of recovering from a hopeless state of mind. The process of recovering from that hopeless state is in asking for help from another alcoholic which you will find in any meeting you choose to pick as your first.
